Elisabeth Stock | Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Elisabeth Stock built PowerMyLearning from a nascent non-profit in 1999 into a national leader in the K-12 digital learning space. Recognized as an expert in her field, Elisabeth is a Pahara-Aspen Education Fellow and a life-long Ashoka fellow. She has given a TEDx talk and high-level briefings at the White House, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Federal Communications Commission, and she has served as an advisor to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the NYC Department of Education. Elisabeth has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and on National Public Radio and has published Op-Eds in media outlets such as Education Week and the Huffington Post. In 2001, she was honored by Crain’s New York Business as one of 40 New Yorkers under 40 shaping the city. From 1996-97, Elisabeth served as a White House Fellow in the Office of the Vice President, where her experience as the principal architect of a government-wide education technology program led her to launch PowerMyLearning a year later. Elisabeth was a high school teacher for two years while a Peace Corps volunteer and later worked for the World Bank on appropriate technology in Africa. She also worked at the Vera Institute of Justice and helped the Open Society Institute start the After-School Corporation. Elisabeth served as a member of the MIT Board of Trustees (1997-2002) and is the youngest individual ever to be appointed to the MIT Executive Committee (2000-2002). Elisabeth has earned four degrees from MIT. She also holds a patent for a medical device.
Mark Malaspina | President
Mark is responsible for driving PowerMyLearning’s program innovations and research agenda and for deepening PowerMyLearning’s relationships with school districts, software partners, and education organizations. Since joining PowerMyLearning in May 2009, Mark has led the development of PowerMyLearning Connect, PowerMyLearning’s K-12 learning platform, and he has overseen major enhancements to PowerMyLearning’s partnership program with high poverty middle schools. As the former President of The Grow Network, an education company he co-founded in 2000 and sold to McGraw-Hill in 2004, Mark brings strong experience in education to this role. Under Mark’s leadership, Grow served more than 20 million students in the U.S. and internationally and demonstrated its impact in differentiated instruction and parent engagement through studies by nationally recognized research organizations, such as the Consortium for Policy Research in Education and the Center for Children & Technology. At Grow, Mark helped develop a patented analytical system that infers students’ strengths and needs in order to support effective instruction. Mark also has broad experience working with low-income communities. As a Skadden Fellow at the Lawyers Alliance for New York, Mark provided guidance to local organizations developing innovative economic development programs in low-income neighborhoods. Since 2000, he has served on the board of the New York City Financial Network Action Consortium, a CDFI Intermediary that supports community development credit unions. Previously, Mark has worked with public housing tenant organizations in Atlanta and New Haven and helped establish small business lending programs in Chicago. He served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Coto Brus, Costa Rica, and is fluent in Spanish. After receiving his J.D. from Yale Law School, Mark clerked for Judge Phyllis Kravitch on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He also has an M.P.A. in Economics and Public Policy from Princeton University and a B.A. from Yale College, where he received the Hadley Prize for outstanding scholarship in the Social Sciences.
Christina Chiolo | Executive Director, New York City
Christina oversees operations, development activities, and PowerMyLearning’s programs and services in New York City, while strengthening relationships with community partners, school districts, and political leaders. In her previous role as Director of Development, she helped secure philanthropic and government funding to support the work of PowerMyLearning throughout New York City. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Christina spent five years at New York Cares, where she started as a Children’s and Teen Education Program Manager, and then worked as their sole Foundation and Government Relations Officer. Christina also previously served as a Programs and Development Manager at the Philadelphia Children’s Foundation. Christina holds her B.A. in Sociology from Fordham University.
Richard Hicks | Executive Director, Greater Atlanta
Richard oversees operations, development activities, and PowerMyLearning’s programs and services in Atlanta, while strengthening relationships with community partners, school districts, and political leaders. Previously, Richard was a Director of Information Technology at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia where he was responsible for many initiatives to bring the campuses to the forefront of technological advancement, including providing insight for the technology design of Georgia Military College’s new and existing facilities. Richard holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Georgia Military College in Milledgeville.
Grace Longeway | Director of Institutional Giving
Grace is responsible for developing and managing the organization’s grant based funding. Prior to this role, she spent two years developing programs and funding at Common Sense Media in San Francisco, and six years building a robust fundraising team as Assistant Director of Development at Harlem Academy in New York City. Prior to her fundraising work, Grace ran a community-based ESL program for immigrants and refugees in Madison, Wisconsin, and worked on several international NGO projects to educate children and young women in East Africa. Grace earned her B.A. in English and African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jim McHarg | Managing Director of Partnerships
Jim has national responsibility for developing and managing relationships at Schools and Districts as well as driving sales process and procedure. Jim has been in professional business to business sales his entire career with the last 20 years being focused on the education market. During that time he has held a number of roles ranging from territory salesperson to National Sales Manager. Most recently Jim was the Vice President and National Sales Manager at Perfection Learning where he led that companies sales efforts in the K-12 space for online and print solutions. Prior to that Jim managed sales for Generation Ready’s Professional Development offerings in New York City preceded by Vice President of Public School Sales and Sales Operations at Catapult Learning. His first foray into educational sales was with Kaplan where he managed the Central Region for the K12 division and led the entire sales team for the Nursing Division. Jim has a BAAS in Biology from the University of Delaware.
Katie Roth | Executive Director, Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area
Katie is the Executive Director of PowerMyLearning in Greater Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. In Katie’s previous role at PowerMyLearning, she managed program execution for families and educators in high-poverty schools and she played a pivotal role in shaping the program vision nationally. She also worked closely with teachers and school leaders to implement innovative digital learning strategies in their classrooms to increase student engagement and achievement. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Katie served as the Los Angeles Manager of Instruction at Revolution Prep, where she managed, trained, and developed a group of 75 instructors and tutors. She also worked at XAP Corporation, interfacing with state departments of education to enhance digital learning opportunities for K-12 students. Katie discovered her passion for expanding educational opportunities as a Teach For America corps member at Markham Middle School in Los Angeles. She taught seventh and eighth grade math and served as the school’s math department chair. She has continued her involvement with Teach For America as a Math Learning Team Leader, running professional development sessions for corps members outside of school hours. Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, and psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Katie earned a California teaching credential in secondary math.
Ronald Southard | Director of Finance and Administration
Ron joined PowerMyLearning in December of 2009. He is responsible for managing PowerMyLearning’s Finance Department and administrative functions. Since moving to New York in 1994, he has worked as the finance leader in several small to medium sized non-profits, as well as filling the role of Chief Financial Officer for the American Lung Association. While at the Lung Association, Ron led the design and implementation of an award winning accounting system that tracked and consolidated the finances of the American Lung Association’s twenty-five independently incorporated regional offices throughout the U.S.
Unique Tucker | Human Resources Director
Unique oversees Human Resources for PowerMyLearning, including talent management, onboarding, and employee relations. Unique has over eight years of HR experience, most recently as an HR Generalist at the NYS Psychiatric Institute, which is run in conjunction with Columbia University Medical Center and Research Foundation for Mental Health. Unique has a BA in Psychology from the College of New Rochelle, a Master’s in Public Administration from Metropolitan College of New York, and a Certification in Professional Human Resource Management from Pace University. Unique is deeply committed to education equality and social justice.
Stacey Williams | Managing Director, External Relations
Stacey Williams is the Managing Director of External Relations at PowerMyLearning and is responsible for overseeing development efforts and organization-wide communications. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Stacey served as the Managing Director of Development at Public Prep, a nonprofit charter school management organization in New York City. Over the course of eight years, Stacey helped develop Public Prep from a standalone charter school to a network serving more than 1,500 students in grades PreK-8th across six campuses in roles centered on staff recruitment, external relations, and development. Stacey also spent a summer as an Education Pioneer, serving as a Media and Operations Fellow at Charter Schools Accountability & Support Team (CSAS) at the New York City Department of Education where she led the redesign of the CSAS website and created a press and communication strategy. Stacey started her career as a fourth grade teacher and Teach for America Corps Member in Phoenix, AZ. Stacey holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ithaca College and an MPA in Nonprofit Management and Public Policy from NYU.

Emily Amick | Personalized Learning Manager
As Personalized Learning Manager, Emily leads the planning and delivery of services to schools and districts across the country outside of our operating regions. In addition, she plays a major role in supporting the development and continuous improvement of our program offerings and resources. Emily brings a wealth of experience to the role, having spent time in the classroom as a math teacher and coach in Pittsburgh schools, and in educational roles outside the classroom as a curriculum designer and professional developer. She earned a B.A. in mathematics from New York University, and an M.A.T in Secondary Mathematics Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Courtney Dastis-Galvin | Director of Partnership Marketing and Operations
As Director of Program Development, Courtney is responsible for organizing the work of the inter-regional program teams to incorporate practices for monitoring and evaluation of program success and defining implementation improvements. Courtney joined PowerMyLearning in 2009 and has served in various roles in the organization prior to this position. Most recently, she served as PowerMyLearning’s Manager of Products, working to support the regional offices and manage creation and maintenance of systems to improve program offerings and delivery. Outside of PowerMyLearning, Courtney has spent time volunteering for non-traditional schools both domestically and abroad, where she developed a deep passion for inquiry and dialogue around meaningful shifts in public education. Courtney holds an honors bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Educational Studies from the University of Delaware.
Karuppiah Ganesan | Managing Director of Technology and Architecture
Karuppiah Ganesan is the Director of Technology and Architecture of PowerMyLearning Connect. In this role, Karuppiah manages the architecture, technology used and execution of the software development of PowerMyLearning Connect. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Karuppiah was an Executive Director of Engineering at Kaplan Test Prep, where he led the eLearning engineering team. He was responsible for software development, enterprise Architecture, and the management of the Development and QA team. He also developed and managed the KTP eLearning platform. Karuppiah earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Madras, India.
Greg Karnes | Customer Support Manager
As Customer Support Manager, Greg provides support to teachers, parents and students for our platform, PowerMyLearning Connect. Before joining PowerMyLearning, Greg provided technical support and software management training for educational nonprofits, government programs, and companies in the private sector. He first discovered his passion for technical training while working at the Oregon Historical Society, where he developed training guides for volunteers in the Oral History Department. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Lewis and Clark College.
Hussham Khan | Senior Director of Product and Data
Hussham is an eight-year veteran of the New York City Department of Education. At NYCDOE, he led the development and implementation of an online platform that uses complex algorithms to manage PK-12 admissions for the largest school system in the country, including the city’s first online application for elementary school programs. He has served in several leadership roles including Executive Director of High School Admissions. Previously, he was an Analyst for the New York State Department of Labor.
Adrienne Kraushaar | Managing Director of Products and Programs
Adrienne oversees the development and strategic direction of the PowerMyLearning Connect platform and PowerMyLearning’s programs and services. A former Teach for America Corps member, Adrienne taught middle school math and science in Los Angeles and Brooklyn. Adrienne also served in product management, professional development, and curriculum development roles at Kaplan K12 Learning Services, Achieve 3000, and Edison Learning. Adrienne holds a degree in Organizational Communications, Learning & Design from Ithaca College and earned her master’s degree in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University.
Neha Pandit | Manager of Program Research and Operations
Neha Pandit is the Manager of Program Research and Operations at PowerMyLearning. Neha works with program teams to develop metrics that capture outcomes, outputs, and feedback to inform grant reporting and program development. She has an MA in Human Development and Social Intervention from New York University and a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Before working at PowerMyLearning, Neha served as the Research and Evaluation Manager at Inwood House a social service nonprofit in New York City.
Bill Rappel | Director of Strategic Partnerships
Bill is responsible for building strategic partnerships with schools, afterschool programs, and other organizations that can benefit from using PowerMyLearning Connect. Bill joined PowerMyLearning in 2001 and has held two positions at the organization prior to his current position. Most recently, he served as PowerMyLearning’s National Director of the Affiliate Network and Legislative Affairs managing legislative initiatives and building a nationwide network of non-profit organizations committed to helping low-income families harness the power of digital learning. Previously, he served as PowerMyLearning’s Program Director in the New York City Region, during which time he increased the organization’s school partnerships more than six-fold; built a robust application process for selecting schools; and successfully built a strong relationship with the New York City Council, from which PowerMyLearning receives significant funding each year. Prior to PowerMyLearning, Bill worked at Organic, an Internet consulting firm, and was a consultant for a Rockefeller Family Fund project where he conducted site visits for the America Online Foundation’s Digital Divide Initiative. Bill has a master’s degree in urban planning from Columbia University.
Caryn Rogoff | Director of Content
Caryn leads our PowerMyLearning Connect content strategy. Caryn has more than twenty years of experience in K-12 education, both in school and non-school settings as well as significant experience in youth development, multi-media production, and media literacy. Caryn has a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Columbia University Teachers College and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
Meghan Wells | Senior Director of Programs and Research
Meghan has served in various roles at PowerMyLearning since joining the organization in 2012. Before joining PowerMyLearning, Meghan worked as a Regional Coordinator for Children’s Literacy Initiative in Philadelphia, where she managed implementation of a professional development initiative for early childhood educators in several major school districts, including Chicago Public Schools. In 2011 she was selected as an Education Pioneers Fellow and completed her fellowship at the Data Quality Campaign, an education policy and advocacy organization based in Washington DC. Meghan holds a M.P.A from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature and Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
Lisa Brodie | Program Manager, Family Engagement, Greater Atlanta
Lisa leads PowerMyLearning’s Family Engagement Services in Greater Atlanta and works closely with the Family Engagement cross-regional team. Before joining PowerMyLearning, Lisa taught elementary school in North Carolina, Mississippi, and Georgia and worked with youth and families in a group home setting. In addition to teaching in the schools, Lisa has helped spearhead several tutorial programs and chartered a club-based after school program. Lisa is a Teach for America Alumna, and is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. Lisa holds a B.A. in Psychology from Hampton University, an M.A. in Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. Lisa believes strongly in the power of a successful education being forged by the combined effort of the community, school, and family.
Oneisha Freeman | Senior Program Manager, Family Engagement, Greater Atlanta
Oneisha has over a decade of experience in family engagement, youth programming, multimedia design, and photography. Through her work, she combines her passion for educational technology with a calling to serve under-resourced communities. Oneisha holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Colorado State University-Global. Prior to joining the PowerMyLearning team, she served as the Computer Clubhouse Coordinator at Whitefoord, Inc. where she worked with at-risk youth to help them utilize digital media technology to better their community, connect with their education, and empower them for their futures. Oneisha has facilitated training sessions, workshops, and events locally, nationally, and internationally for both adults and youth. Additionally, she is an Adobe Youth Voices Lead Educator as well as an Adobe Certified Associate.
Eddie Matano | Director, Technology and Operations, Greater Atlanta
Eddie manages the imaging and refurbishing operations in the Atlanta area. He is also responsible for the setup of workshops at our partner schools and manages the volunteer days at our warehouse. Eddie holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Mississippi University for Women. He started his career as a Technical Specialist for BTM Solutions where he was responsible for supporting different types of accounting software and for managing, maintaining, and resolving issues related to the local area network, business computers, active directory, business servers, and server backups. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Eddie was an implementation specialist for SAP Business One where he managed the implementation process from the sales stage to go-live. Since graduating from college, Eddie extended his passion for technology by becoming a Microsoft Certified Professional and obtaining several certifications including Network+ and A+.
Kendra Frank | Professional Learning Manager, San Francisco Bay Area
As a Professional Learning Manager, Kendra works with teachers and administrators to support the integration of technology to provide a personalized and engaging learning experience for all students. Before joining PowerMyLearning in 2016, Kendra was a Special Education Teacher, English Language Development teacher, and tutor (all at the same time!) and became known for bringing the classroom to life through technology. Kendra was also recognized as a product ambassador by ClassDojo, fundraised over $6,000 to bring technology into her various classrooms, and used her love of music to found the FDR Show Choir at FDR Middle School. Since moving from Georgia to California, Kendra has taught for the Redwood City School District and the Jefferson Elementary School District in the San Francisco Bay Area. Kendra earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in Education from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia.
Elizabeth Cabrera | Director of Programs, Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area
Elizabeth leads PowerMyLearning‘s programs and services in Los Angeles and the Bay Area to ensure a strong, positive, and sustainable impact in our partner communities. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Elizabeth taught elementary school in low-income communities in Los Angeles, including experience teaching in Spanish. Elizabeth is a Teach For America alumna. As a Los Angeles native, she is determined to help the community reach higher academic gains to close the achievement gap. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Spanish from Harvard University. She also holds a master’s degree in urban education from Loyola Marymount University and she holds a California multiple subject teaching credential.
Rocio Martinez | Development Manager, Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area
As the Development Manager, Rocio supports fundraising efforts in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Rocio served on the development team at one of the largest charter school networks in Los Angeles. Her work focused on efforts to raise funds for scholarships and school operations. She has over three years of experience serving underprivileged students in Southern California. Rocio holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UCLA.
Nancy Noriega | Development and Administration Manager, Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area
Nancy manages office operations and supports communications and fundraising efforts in Los Angeles and the Bay Area. She joined PowerMyLearning in 2010 and has since served the organization in various capacities. Most recently, Nancy managed the volunteer program. Prior to joining the PowerMyLearning team, Nancy served as the Office Manager for an early intervention program on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) which serves toddlers with special needs. Additionally, she was an active member of South Central Los Angeles Regional Center’s Oral Health Promotion Project where she helped coordinate parent trainings and free dental screenings for the students. Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from CSUDH with an Emphasis in Public Relations.
Roque Pech | Senior Manager, Partnerships, Greater Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area
Roque is the Senior Manager of Partnerships for PowerMyLearning in Greater Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. In his previous role at PowerMyLearning, Roque worked alongside teachers and school leaders to support the integration of technology to foster a blended learning environment where personalized learning positively impacts all students. In addition to consulting with teachers, he supported the Los Angeles team in securing new school and district partnerships for the coming school years. Roque holds a California teaching credential in secondary math and has experience teaching at the middle school and high school level. He is a proud product of the LAUSD public school system where he attended schools throughout his K-12 experience. In addition, Roque has experience serving low-income communities ranging from East Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley. As a teacher, Roque modeled school-wide initiatives on how to build collaborative learning environments, sponsored an after school coding club, and held family engagement workshops in English and Spanish. Prior to his time as a Teach For America corps member, Roque worked in sales at TransFirst and Capital One. Roque earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from San Diego State University and a master’s degree in Digital Learning from Loyola Marymount University.
Maria Morrisson Copolillo | Blended Learning Manager, Greater Los Angeles
As a Blended Learning Manager, Maria works with teachers from grades 2-12 to effectively integrate digital technology in order to provide personalized, meaningful instruction for students. In addition to 1-on-1 coaching with teachers, Maria leads the California team of Blended Learning Specialists. Before joining PowerMyLearning in 2015, Maria was a middle school math teacher at KIPP Central City Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana where she implemented a 1-to-1 technology model in her classroom. She previously taught 6th grade in Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a Teach for America Corps Member and served as a Fulbright Teaching Assistant in rural Taiwan. Maria earned a bachelor’s degree in East Asian Studies from Lewis & Clark College and a master’s of science degree in Education and Social Change from the University of Miami.
Cynthia Gomez-Ramirez | Program Manager, Family Engagement, Greater Los Angeles
Cynthia leads PowerMyLearning’s Family Engagement Services in the Greater Los Angeles area and works closely with the Professional Development team to coordinate high quality programming for each school partner. She first became a part of the organization as a Family Trainer, where she conducted trainings for families. She has over 8 years of management experience ranging from retail to corporate level customer service/program management. Cynthia also has over 7 years of experience working with people with disabilities, as a one-to-one teaching assistant for 5 years in the Lennox School District and most recently as a case manager for Marriott Foundation for People with disabilities. Cynthia continues working with people of different abilities and maintains close working relationships with schools, students, and teachers.
Maryell Hernández | Blended Learning Specialist, Greater Los Angeles
Maryell works alongside teachers and school leaders to support instructional practice and technology integration at elementary and middle schools across Los Angeles. Through one-on-one coaching and school-wide educator workshops, her teachers facilitate engaging learning experiences for all students. Prior to PowerMyLearning, Maryell was a self-contained second grade bilingual teacher and founding Academic Program Manager for a comprehensive 9th to 12th grade college access program in Houston, Texas. Maryell earned her B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Government from Harvard University and holds a bilingual generalist EC-6 teaching credential.
Earl Turner III | Blended Learning Specialist, Greater Los Angeles
As a Blended Learning Specialist, Earl works alongside teachers and school leaders to support the integration of technology to cultivate a blended learning environment where teachers transform the learning experiences for all students. Having spent a portion of his career as a Residential Developer in New Orleans LA, Earl made the decision to transition from the role of president of his business in 2013, to join Teach For America. As a middle school mathematics teacher, Earl championed the induction of the Common Core State Standards and led the role out of a 1-to-1 laptop initiative for his placement school, ICEF Inglewood Middle Charter Academy. Earl has also worked as a policy analyst for LAUSD’s school board president where he made key recommendations for the district Superintendent’s 2016 – 2019 Strategic Plan, analyzed expenditures for the districts $7.6 billion budget, and drafted a report evaluating factors affecting student achievement in mathematics. Earl has earned a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University, a Master’s of Art in Digital Learning from Loyola Marymount University and is a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University in the School of Education.
Emily Bailey | Manager of School Partnerships, New York City
Emily is New York City’s main point of contact for schools interested in our program, and leads the outreach, sales, and selection process for schools. She previously worked at New York Cares as a Senior Manager of Youth Volunteering, having been promoted several times over her four-year tenure there. Before that, Emily was an Outreach Coordinator for Reading Partners after having gotten her start as a City Year Corps Member. Emily holds an MA in Sociology of Education from NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development; she also has a BA in International Studies & French from SUNY Brockport.
Lauren Burner-Lawrence | Lead Blended Learning Specialist, Elementary, New York City
Lauren is the lead elementary-focused Blended Learning Specialist for PowerMyLearning. She offers nearly ten years of teaching and school leadership experience within the public, private and charter sectors, plus she is incredibly passionate about promoting mindfulness and play in the classroom. Lauren earned her B.S. in Educational Theatre from New York University, then her M.S.Ed in Childhood Education from Brooklyn College. In 2011, Lauren launched Gamez4Learning, a private educational consultancy, with many of her projects focusing on educational technology tools and the role of games in the learning process. Her most recent writing credits include BrainPOP, eOculus Magazine and Core Learning Exchange. Lauren is currently pursuing her interests in Cognitive Science at NYU’s Games for Learning program.
Juan Caro | Senior Logistics Manager, New York City
Juan oversees our equipment strategy in New York City. Juan has been with PowerMyLearning since 2002, and has taken on many roles over the years to ensure our families receive high-quality Home Learning Centers from PowerMyLearning. Currently, Juan leads our New York City warehouse team and manages our computer refurbishing processes, giving donated computers a meaningful second life.
Dwight Cox | IT & Logistics Manager, New York City
Dwight is PowerMyLearning’s IT and Logistics Manager for New York City and is responsible for coordinating donations in the Manhattan area, managing the NYC Help Desk, image testing for PowerMyLearning’s Home Learning Centers, and providing facility assessments to potential school partners. Dwight has been with PowerMyLearning since 2005, and has picked up a lot of IT knowledge along the way. Dwight holds a Bachelor’s of Technology in Electronic Engineering from DeVry University and an Associate degree in the same field from Queensborough Community College.
Cindy Ford | Blended Learning Specialist, New York City
Cindy supports teachers with personalizing learning for students through one-on-one coaching and Educator Workshops. Cindy brings a wealth of experience as an ELL teacher and coordinator to this role, having worked with students across many grades and subject areas in the Denver-Metro Area and New York City. As an ELL coordinator, she provided colleagues with professional development around cultural awareness and supporting English Language Learners in the classrooms. Cindy holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the University of York.
Rachel Gordon | Blended Learning Manager, New York City
As a Blended Learning Manager, Rachel works with teachers across New York City as a coach and a workshop facilitator. She brings a collaborative approach to her coaching and prioritizes meeting the specialized needs of the teachers and the schools with whom she works, with the ultimate goal of helping teachers personalize instruction for all learners in the classroom, integrate technology in meaningful ways, and engage families in their students’ learning. Prior to working at PowerMyLearning, Rachel taught middle school ELA in the Bronx and Morningside Heights, where she adapted digital curricula in a variety of models to meet her students’ needs. She also worked at Newsela, developing Common Core-aligned assessments and training for other assessment writers. She holds her MEd in Curriculum and Instruction and her BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland.
Dileyka Guzman | Lead Program Manager, Family Engagement, New York City
Dileyka has worn multiple hats since joining PowerMyLearning in 2012. She started out as part of our Family Learning Workshop staff as a Registration Coordinator and Customer Service Representative, moving onto Program Coordinator, then Program Manager, and now Lead Program Manager of Family Engagement. As a Lead Program Manager, Dileyka works closely with our partner schools in delivering our Family Engagement services. Prior to joining PowerMyLearning, Dileyka was a Site Director for an after school arts program located in all five boroughs in New York City. Dileyka holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University at Albany (SUNY).
Shaunte Martin | Senior Program Manager, Family Engagement, New York City
Shaunte leads PowerMyLearning’s Family Engagement Services in New York City and works closely with the Professional Development team to coordinate high quality programming for each school partner. Shaunte and her team run PowerMyLearning’s Family Learning Workshops, and works with schools to come up with creative ways to engage parents in their child’s learning. Before joining PowerMyLearning in 2012, Shaunte was a High School Prep Advisor at KIPP to College, mentoring and guiding students through the high school application process. She previously worked at A Better Chance, an organization that advocates for students of color to receive better educational and leadership opportunities.
Erin Morrison-Sadaka | Director of Programs, New York City
Erin is responsible for leading the successful implementation of PowerMyLearning’s programs in New York City, including deepening PowerMyLearning’s impact with school leaders, teachers, and direct work with families and students. Erin started at PowerMyLearning in 2011 as a Program Manager, overseeing the successful implementation of our family engagement initiatives; from 2012-2016 she worked as a Blended Learning Consultant to support teachers in our partner schools to leverage technology in the classrooms. Before joining PowerMyLearning, Erin taught chemistry, physics, and general science to students in Central Harlem and the South Bronx for four years. During this time she served as a Department Leader, a Grade-Team Leader, and a Teach For America corps member. Erin holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Southern California and an M.S. in Teaching from Pace University.
